Thyme Bitter stands out with the distinctive smell of thyme. This one you cannot hide from even if you dose it lightly it will be evident on the nose immediately – and that’s the reason it’s so fantastic to work with.
Add a few drops to a thyme smash cocktail and it just accentuates the whole thing. But at the same time it can bring something different to a Manhattan or even a Martini.
All in all it just brings a feel of freshness and spring to the front of your mind.
Claus Seiers thoughts on the Thyme Bitter:
“Thyme Bitters are just spring and summer rolled into one to me as a bartender. In the dark months of the year I always look forward to spring and when we can get back to using all the fantastic fresh spring and summer herbs again. I wanted the Thyme Bitter to not be too overpowered by the other ingredients and find herbs and spices that really play along the same kinds of taste. I am really happy with how it turned out – and I actually lost the recipe for a while and tried to re-do it again and I just couldn’t get to a result I was satisfied with and I almost gave up on the whole thing. But then the original recipe re-emerged and the Thyme Bitter was back on.”
